Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Eye Care Center of Newton a proud provider of vision care products and services in Iowa.
Dr. Klein has been in practice at the Eye Care Center of Newton since 2005.
Dr. Chad Klein is a 2001 graduate of Central College in Pella, Iowa, with a B.A. degree in Chemistry. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry in 2005, graduating with honors.
He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Iowa Optometric Association, serving as the co-chair for the Association’s Education Committee. Dr. Klein received the Iowa Optometric Association’s Young Optometrist of the Year in 2009.
Dr. Klein is a native of Britt, Iowa, and is married to his wife, Mandy. They have three children, Cody, Caden, and Camryn.
Dr. Tish joined the ECCN team in 2018.
Along with meeting the eye care needs of the entire family, Dr. Tish's clinical interests are ocular disease and fitting specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Brandon Tish is a Newton native and graduated from Newton High School in 2010. Once graduating from Newton High School, he went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Drake University, where he received his degree in 2014.
Dr. Tish then went on to get his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
Dr. Tish is a native of Newton and is married to his wife, Kelsey, also a Newton native. They have two children, Nora and Beckham. In his spare time, Dr. Tish likes to spend time with his family, golf, hunt, fish, and do anything outdoors.
Dr. Rhoads has been in practice at the Eye Care Center of Newton since 1997.
Dr. Kristin Rhoads received her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry where she graduated with highest honors. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Iowa Optometric Association. She received Iowa’s Young Optometrist of the Year award in 2001.
She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and believes in a whole-patient approach to eye care, focusing not only on clear vision but overall wellness for the prevention, early detection and management of ocular and systemic disease. In addition, she has clinical interests in dry eye and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Rhoads is a native of Newton and is married to Kevin, also a Newton native. They have three daughters Kaylie (Dakota), Hannah (Jake), and Rachel (Cael) as well as 2 grandkids. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and staying physically active. She is involved in her church community and proudly cheers on the Newton Cardinals.
Ange began her career in optometry in 1998. She worked at the Eye Care Center as an Optician from 2002-2007 and came back in 2012. In June 2024, she became ECCN Office Manager. She is American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certified and a Certified Paraoptometric (CPO). Ange served on the Iowa Optometric Assistants Association board for 8 years and was President in 2023.
Ange and her husband Scott have 3 kids—Blake, Haley, and Jana. They are now empty nesters but love going to see the kids and enjoy their activities! Scott and Ange enjoy entertaining, and you can usually find them on their deck smoking meals. Ange is a big Chicago Blackhawks fan and also loves watching football! She also loves to decorate, enjoys travelling, and has a great eyeglasses collection!
